How’s that healthcare.gov site working?
Listening to the media you’d think everything was hunky-dory. Not true.
Des Moines’ CBS affiliate is reporting that all Iowans who signed up for Obamacare using the federal website need to reapply for health care using the state portal. All 16,000 of them.
More after the clip.
Here is their official word from the Iowa Department of Human Services:
“”We are working hard to ensure that Iowans who applied through HealthCare.gov will be enrolled in health coverage. We are encouraging Iowans who applied at the federal portal to reapply through our state website and call center,” said DHS Director Charles M. Palmer. “We will make every effort to process applications in a timely manner so that these Iowans can have certainty about their health care coverage.”
While the official statement doesn’t reveal much, it would certainly appear the Hawkeye State is fed up with waiting for Health and Human Services to forward all 16,000 to the state for processing and are going it alone.
Goes counter to the Media’s claim that everything is going swimmingly since the repairs were made.
